Today ihave been taking a lot of random pictures alot and i even made a movie.

Completely off topic but still relevant the movie Funny people looks to be a true classic all those comedians with a stand up comic as the comic should make for a great film. they are even running this thing on comedy central where the comics in the movie will be showing off their stand up skills or lack there of.

but yes back to the movie i made, i dont know if you can call it so much a movie but a musical slide show. I saw the vast number of jordan pictures that were in my USB memory stick so i decided to make it about jordans. i'm puttin it on my Face book page and on Youtube i will probably have the link on here within the next hour.

The game of basketball calls though (well that and my girlfriend Shushan) so i will be back here later to give some back info about how the WSB-TV interview went and why i even have this camera

Changes to the blog

Whats up people out there in internet world. Welcome to the Mind of Me.

If this is your first time on the site I hope you are plesently surprised by my thoughtful insightfulness. if you are a return visitor you will notice some changes and i think they will be for the better.

First off i am dropping the pseudonym T.W. Scott I am now going with my Parent given name Mykhal Nashid-Glass which as many of you wondered is where the Glass comes from in the blog title.

Secondly this is no longer just a sports blog i have bleacherreport.com for getting out my athletic thoughts and rants this will be more life oriented and about world around me.

Basically what this blog will now be focusing on is my everyday life and things as seen thru well as seen thru glass.
I love the innovation where you can now blog from your cell phone i dont know how this is going to look but im thinkin more so like really long tweets which reminds me you can follow me at twitter.com/hey_glass.

Sweet Sweet Redemption

As a UGA bulldog fan i am almost ashamed to say that i paid no attention to the UGA- FLA Basketball Match up today but after feeling a little bored of reminessing on ESPN classic the 2003 BCS Championship (A tale of two running backs) i remembered that the dawgs had a primetime game on ABC.

A much underserved one since UGA was 0-9 in SEC play a record that was the biggest reason that a great guy Dennis felton got fired.

I tuned in just at the 2 minute mark where the annoucers were praising terrence woodbury and his phenominal 32 point career high performance. the dawgs were up two and needed a big bucket to give them the confidence to go on and put this one away.

thats when former wesleyn high school star Trey Thompkins gets the pill in the post and knocks down a garnettesque turnaround fade shot to put us up by four there were not going to be a lot more possessions in this one so every touch would be critical.

Florida scores to bring themselves back within two and UGA has the ball they give it to none other than mr hot himself woodbury, who takes an open 23 footer but it rims out and then the dumbest play of the game florida has one shot to tie or win the game and Nick calathes dosent even touch the ball. bad decision by Florida but im glad that UGA prevail to get the win.

As a Bulldog fan no this dosent make up for the football loss but it is a big step in the healing process especially if this loss cost FLA the tournament.

61... Must be Kobe Again

"Don't bring that shit in my house" those were the words of Wilson Chandler after blocking the shot of Kobe Bryant late in the first quarter well you know what Kobe brought it to his house; again and again and again to the tune of 61 points.

Kobe poetic scoring outburst seems just as a beacon to the rest of the league that yes I am still the best and yes I can score any time i want to. From the start of the game it just felt like one of those special scoring nights; With Kobe taking and making 2 three' in quarter number one.

Kobe's performance though was just a little perfume on the skunk; the big 7' 280 pound skunk who tonight was not playing due to a injured knee and more than likely wont be playing until mid- April. That was some mighty powerful perfume is something that my grandma would say and she would be right Kobe doing what he did at MSG is something can do and even fewer have done.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson has seen the top two performances with the best seat in the house he coached Jordan when he went off for 55 and said of Kobe's output "amazing just an amazing performance"

The fact that Kobe played so well kind of doesn’t bode well for my school day I have a friend (Greg) who is as much of a fan of Kobe Bryant as any a man could be of another man without appearing "homo" so he will talk about this one till we are both blue in the face, but the beauty is so will many more sports fans around the world. That’s just how great Kobe is he inspires the Gregs of the world to kneel down and kiss their Kobe collages.

Super Bowl XLIII live!

Normally I watch the super bowl at a party with my parents but this year I decided to just chill at the house and write about it. There will be a million articles written about this game I just hope to capture the emotion of the game as it happens and the great commercials. I don’t really care who wins but I just get the feeling Pittsburg is going to win a close one

Determination that’s what I see in the eyes of Steelers quarter back Ben Rothlisberger as they flash to him during the excellent anthem by Jennifer Hudson.

The first pass he threw was a 33 yards completion to Hines ward longer than any of his completions in super bowl XL.

Overturned Ben Rothlisberger initially ruled touchdown run this could be big it’s the difference between 7 points and 3 points.

How fitting that the first super bowl commercial be one from Budweiser it was alright I don’t know I may just not be to keen on throwing people out of a window the better one so far is the Doritos spot with the magic crystal bowl.

Arizona’s first play is a run that was smart they are going to need to get edge off early in order to have a chance to win that was close edge fumbled but they got the ball back.

The first quarter lived up to what you expect from a first quarter in the biggest game of any players life a lot of feeling each other out but Pitt is doing a lot more feeling the score is 3-0 but Rothlisberger is in the red zone

Hello, is any one in there? A question to the pulse of the Atlanta Hawks

26 points in a half that are both disappointing and unacceptable; the hawks since the start of 2009 are a lousy 4-9 and shell of the hawks team that seemed to be on its way to a 50 win season. Joe Johnson has been how I say this nicely not him self averaging only 16 points a game in January. A number that should have drastically improved seeing that both Al Horford and Marvin Williams have missed extended time because of injuries which also may be a reason for the unexpected losing. During the hawks extended streak of futility the Orlando magic have risen to the ranks of the basketball elite having the second best home record only behind the perfect Cleveland cavaliers. The hawks who were once in the thick of the southeast race now find themselves 9 games back. If the hawks want to get the unbridled support from the fan base they have to play better or at least show they are giving max effort because 26 points in a half just won’t cut it.

A Turn -Around: Can Oregon State take this recent momentum and finish with a respectable season?

Three games; is that all is needed to take a team from floundering to impressive?

The inauguration of Barack Obama already has the good people of Oregon feeling the change and not for an economic boom or an alternative fuel refinery but in the form of some great basketball something that the fans in Corvallis haven't seen in quite some time. Never mind the distraction of going into one of your toughest stretches of PAC 10 play your and head coach is all the way in Washington and just forget about the fact that you as a team lost your first 5 of 6 including losses to Yale and Howard. all that matters is that right now you are winning

In the last couple of games the beavers beat USC, CAL, and Stanford completing the bay area sweep a feat that had not been done by Oregon state since the year i was born (1992) last year the beavers where the Epitome of weak conference opponent giving a win to every PAC 10 team they played. after looking likely to do the same because of a twenty point loss to UCLA the Oregon state beavers did something completely uncharacteristic they won a close overtime time game against a legitimate tournament team in Southern Cal, but then follow that up by 4 devastating defeat at the hands of more Pac 10 teams these losses though were before January 20th when coach Robinson came back from witnessing his brother in law become America’s first black commander in chief its like a plan came back with him a plan to win. Let’s see if they turn this momentum into a beat down of Oregon in their annual civil war match up and maybe something more or ride back into the wave of insignificance. After all its just three games.

The Beauty of college basketball

Wednesday night was a perfect example of why we as sports fans love college basketball; on any given night a superstar very hot team can go down and if you lost to a team on their court for over 80 years in a row you still won’t win.

Wake forest was number one for less than a week after beating up on Clemson and jumping over duke but in their first game in the top spot they come out lackadaisical and lost to Va tech. The ruin of a many teams is that they feel after becoming number one they have reached the pinnacle goal for the season and lose focus for what the greater goal for year is (championship).

Another reason why rankings really do not matter until at least mid February when the teams have had the opportunity to play the bulk of their in conference schedule. you never know when a team will go 16-0 in the non conference and totally bomb out in the conference and not make the tourney; which is a perfect segue to my second point; The Clemson tigers

I don't know weather its weak non-conference scheduling or just fear of the powerful ACC but every freaking year the Clemson tiger seem to get off to a monstrous start then assume the position for the rest of the year sometimes in between managing to pull out enough games to squeak into the tournament just to get up ended in the first or second round. I would love to have some sort of comparison for Clemson to another team pro or otherwise but the fact is there is no other team that does this, their inconsistency stands alone in the sports ranks.

Oh yeah and big ups to Virginia Tech and North Carolina for handling their business.

Jodie Freaking Meeks!!!

Last night a travesty took place the vaunted tennessee mens basketball defense was no where to be found but who was there and showed up ready to play was Jodie Freaking Meeks (new man law: Whenever we refer to Mr. Meeks by his whole name "Freaking" has to be included) The 6'4" junior put the shoot in shooting guard and put on as pat ford described a show for the ages. 54 points in college ball that shouldn't even be plausible for as great a scorer that kevin durrant was and stephen curry is, no one walks in the gym and says yep this is the night that were gonna see 54 points get scored actually it is more logical to predict 54 from a team for an entire game (a team not named North Carolina). As a three point specialist Meeks rewrote the single game three points kentucky record books nailing 10. The 54 was one point more than Dan Issel who in 1970 dropped 53 against then dormat ole miss. this performance just highlights the season Meeks is having especially recently with their only lost coming against a highly ranked louisville team. So lets together take a hard look at our ballots for player of the year and write the name Jodie Freaking Meeks!!!

NFC Title Game

Right now i am sitting in class and daydreaming its hard to focus on algebra when then NFL playoffs are so interesting. Last week no one gave the arizona cardinals a shot to win against carolina and admittantly i was one of those ney-sayers. I mean all yall they were a one demensional offense with a soft defense and a sub-par special teams unit. All of a sudden the playoffs come and they turn on the super team switch. It first appeared as a fluke when they handled my falcons in round one but the complete and utter dismantaling of carolina proved they are forreal the philly eagles though are feeling just as high after back to back wins against the no-longer defending champion Giants. With westbrook healthy and Mcnabb back to his cocky dispositon the NFC Championship will be fun to watch.
